Hey my name is Emma Rosenau I'm a Junior at Emory university in Atlanta, Georgia where I double major in Political Science and African-American Studies. I spent the summer of 2021 living in Jerusalem and interning at the Jerusalem institute of Justice. While at JIJ I researched war crimes and learned more about international law violations. I gained a lot of life skills and research skills. While at JIJ I became a better writer, I grew my understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and I'm extremely grateful for my time there.

Hello everyone my name is Matan I'm 26 years old, I'm a Jerusalemite and an undergraduate student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. I study Middle-Eastern Studies and Islam and Political Science. For the past year I've been interning here at the Jerusalem institute of Justice. As part of my internship, I was researching regarding Israel’s relations with the Arab world and many other things. I highly recommend interning here, the team here is a great team, really welcoming, supporting and it's an amazing learning experience. Hello my name is Nicole I'm originally from Mexico. I'm a International Relations student and I was interning with JIJ two years ago - I can't believe its two years already! It's been so long and I missed it so much! For those who are planning to go to JIJ honestly, it’s the best experience of my life. It was a life changing experience, and it changed my life in so many ways. I was working in video production projects and before that I didn’t know I was good at it, so it was such a nice experience to find that out because it’s a very nice inviting environment and really welcoming and everyone is super nice there. I loved my time in Israel, I loved everyone at the office, and I just want to go back. Anyone that studies International Relations, Law, Politics, Human Rights, Governance, or any field like that - it’s a perfect idea to go there and start working there. I'm sure you're going to have an amazing experience and it makes me jealous. Anyone that wants to go there, I want to go myself again. I really hope you will enjoy your time there!

I really enjoyed this internship and the interactions with the people in the office of JIJ. I learnt new perspectives on Israel, and was able to see Israel through the world's lense. It gave me a lot of tools, both professionally and academically, and the ability to be able to work with people from different nationalities and different backgrounds. This was an internship that I really gained a lot from. I invested a lot into it and it invested a lot back into me. Highly recommended!

I'm a student at the University of Wisconsin Madison studying history, political science and Arabic. I interned at JJ two summers ago in 2019. It was an incredible hands-on experience in the field of International Affairs and Israel advocacy. I got to work on projects there that I never could have imagined getting the opportunity to do, like helping write arguments for a case going to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, and writing articles that are still published on JIJ’s website. If you're interested in international relations, law, politics, or Israel in the Middle East, I highly recommend applying and working with their incredibly supportive staff and getting your hands on some of the most pressing issues of today.

I had the privilege of interning at JIJ in 2018. It was an amazing opportunity to both research some really interesting topics, to be involved in writing the International Criminal Court projects related to the United Nations, and even representing the JIJ at conferences with the Ministry of strategic affairs. JIJ opened huge opportunities for me on a personal level. The amazing team and staff trusted in me from the beginning. I met great fellow interns- friends who I'm still in touch with today. I would highly recommend this program for those interested in learning more about the Middle East, Israel, and are interested in working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial atmosphere with an exciting team.
